Our Privacy Policy — In Plain English

No subclauses. No wall of text written by a committee. Just straight answers about your data.

Last Updated: November 15, 2026

Why We Wrote This Like a Human Being

Because nobody reads privacy policies written by lawyers — and you should actually read this one. We handle sensitive financial information. Capital structure memorandums. Cash flow analysis reports. Forensic due diligence data. You deserve to know exactly what we collect, why we collect it, and what happens to it after you hit "send."

So we wrote this in sentences, not subclauses.

No boilerplate. No copy-paste from a template generator. Just the truth — in about 800 words.

What We Collect (and Why)

When you fill out our contact form, we collect your name, email address, phone number, company name, revenue range, industry, and a brief description of your situation.

Why? Because we need this to determine whether we can actually help — and to prepare for that first 28-minute conversation. Without it, we'd be guessing. And we don't guess. (That's kind of our whole thing.)

We also collect basic analytics data — which pages you visit, how long you stay, what you click. This tells us things like "the FAQ accordion on the homepage is getting 3x more clicks than the pricing section" — so we can make the site more useful.

"We don't collect financial statements, tax returns, or sensitive business data through this website. That happens later — under a signed engagement letter with ironclad confidentiality protections."

The engagement letter is where the real work begins. This website is just the handshake.

Cookies — The Digital Kind

This site uses small data files called cookies. Some are necessary — they keep the site working properly, remember your cookie preferences, and make sure the multi-step contact form doesn't lose your progress between steps.

Others are analytics cookies. They tell us aggregate things like "42% of visitors read the case studies page before contacting us." Useful for us. Anonymous to you.

You can decline the optional ones. The site still works. We won't hold it against you. (We might be a little sad — but we'll manage.)

Who Sees Your Information

Short answer: almost nobody.

We don't sell your data. We don't rent it. We don't share it with marketing companies. We don't hand it to "strategic partners" with vague promises about "enhanced experiences."

Here is the complete list of who can see your information:

1. Wang Private Equity Inc. team members who need it to serve you — David, Michelle, Nathan, Sarah, James, or Priya, depending on your inquiry type.

2. Our website hosting provider, who is contractually required to protect it.

3. Our analytics tool, which receives anonymized usage data only.

That's the list. Three items. We counted — because that's what we do.

How We Protect It

Our website uses SSL/TLS encryption. Every form submission travels through an encrypted connection — the same standard used by major Canadian banks.

Our internal systems are access-controlled. Not everyone on the team can see everything. Analysts don't see client contact details until they're assigned. Administrative data is separated from financial data.

Financial data shared during active engagements — cash flow analysis reports, account analysis statements, commercial loan proposals, equipment lease schedules — is stored in encrypted, access-restricted data rooms governed by our signed confidentiality agreements.

"Priya Chattopadhyay manages our data room security. She takes it personally — and given that she came from KPMG Transaction Advisory, her standard of 'personally' is higher than most."

Your Rights

You can ask us what data we have about you. We'll tell you — within 2 business days.

You can ask us to delete it. We will.

You can ask us to correct it. We'll fix it the same day.

You can withdraw consent for analytics cookies at any time.

No forms to fill out. No 30-day waiting periods. No "please allow 6–8 weeks." Just email [email protected] or call (818) 557-1614. A real person — not a chatbot, not a ticket system — will respond within 2 business days.

We've been in business since 2015. We've had exactly zero data breach incidents. Zero privacy complaints. We intend to keep both numbers right where they are.

Changes to This Policy

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top.

If the changes are significant — say, we start using a new analytics provider or change how we handle form submissions — we'll note what changed in plain language. Not buried in a footnote. Not hidden behind a "view diff" link.

We won't quietly rewrite the rules. That's not how we operate — in privacy policy or in capital advisory.

Questions?

We mean it — if anything here is unclear, ask us. Privacy shouldn't require a law degree to understand.
