Terms of Service — Without the Legalese

Last Updated: November 15, 2026

Friendly tone. Real substance. All the legal ground covered.

Section 1

What This Agreement Covers

By using wangprivateequity.com, you agree to these terms.

The site is operated by Wang Private Equity Inc. (Alberta Corporation No. 2015-0847231), with offices at 10115 83 Street NW, Edmonton, Alberta T6A 3X4.

If you don't agree with something here, please stop using the site — and feel free to tell us why at [email protected].

We genuinely mean that. Feedback makes us better.

Section 2

Using Our Website

Use the site for its intended purpose — learning about our services, reading our insights, and getting in touch.

Don't use it to harvest data, distribute malware, or impersonate someone else.

We assume you weren't planning to, but the lawyers said we should mention it. Sarah Thornton drafted this section with a straight face — we checked.

You must be at least 18 years old to use this site. If you're accessing it on behalf of a company, you confirm you have authority to bind that company to these terms.

Section 3

Our Content Belongs to Us

The text, design, case studies, insights, and other content on this site are the intellectual property of Wang Private Equity Inc.

You're welcome to read it, share links to it, and quote brief excerpts with attribution.

You may not copy entire pages, repurpose our case studies as your own, or scrape the site for content.

Example: sharing a link to our insights article on LinkedIn? Great. Copy-pasting the whole article into your blog? Not great. We spent 11 min read–worth of time writing "The Hidden Cost of Loyalty" — please don't steal it.

The "WANG" name, logo, and all associated branding are trademarks of Wang Private Equity Inc. Use of our marks without written permission is prohibited.

Section 4

Your Information

When you submit information through our contact form, you confirm it's accurate.

We treat it with respect — see our Privacy Policy for exactly how.

We don't store sensitive financial data through this website. Financial statements, tax returns, and confidential business documents are handled through our secure, encrypted data rooms — never through a web form.

That process only begins after a signed engagement letter with full confidentiality protections is in place.

Section 5

What We Don't Promise

This website provides general information about Wang Private Equity Inc.'s services. It does not constitute financial advice, investment advice, or a solicitation of any kind.

Case study results are historical and specific to those clients — they don't guarantee similar outcomes for anyone else.

When we say Ridgeline Oilfield saved $1.3M annually or Canopy Digital secured $7.5M with zero equity dilution — those are real outcomes for real companies. But your situation is different. Every capital structure is.

We try to keep the site accurate and up-to-date, but we're human. Six humans, to be exact. If you spot an error, tell us.

Priya once caught a decimal point error in a $24M projection model. She'll catch your typo report too. Send it to [email protected].

Section 6

Limitation of Liability

Wang Private Equity Inc. is not liable for decisions you make based on information on this website.

Our advisory services are governed by signed engagement letters — not by website content. The engagement letter is where real obligations live, on both sides.

To the maximum extent permitted by Alberta law, our total liability arising from your use of this website is limited to zero dollars.

That sounds harsh, but it's standard — and it's why we have engagement letters for actual advisory work. The website tells you what we do. The engagement letter tells you what we'll do for you.

We are not responsible for the content or practices of any third-party websites we may link to. If we reference ACH origination and NACHA compliance standards, SBA 7(a) and 504 loan programs, or CMHC guidelines — those are governed by their own terms, not ours.

Section 7

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.

Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Edmonton, Alberta.

We've been operating from our 83 Street NW office since 2015. This is home. Alberta law is our law.

Section 8

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms occasionally. The "Last Updated" date at the top tells you when.

If changes are significant, we'll make that clear — not bury them in paragraph 47 of a document nobody reads.

Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated terms. If you disagree with an update, stop using the site and let us know.

Section 9
